I didn’t have a place to write this, so I started a new newsletter. This is going to be an occasional thing. So no particular cadance over here. For regular stuff go to Marketing Junto.
You will see that, like Substack, my newsletter can be subscribed to for a cost. Right now all the content is ungated and free, but eventually I want it to start making revenue.
So what’s up with the subscription fatigue then? You ask.
I see on the other side of the coin people being bombarded with messages that say subscribe to this, subscribe to that. And as a reader with not a huge budget, I can honestly see how this can be fatiguing to say the least.

Subscription Fatigue
I hear you. One of the reasons I try and make it a soft approach to paid support "requests", and try and make it valuable for the premium supporter. It can be trial and error at times, seeing what works best and the language used.
From a supporter point of view, it's all about who really differentiates their content from similar creators and content. If it's something like "get a sticker", I'd rather support you via a shop where I can buy that and more of your merch. Instead, really exclusive stuff that I can't get elsewhere - that's where i'll support.
